Beaverton, OR – May 1, 2017 – Opus Agency has added another seasoned event marketing industry leader to its executive team, welcoming Kim Kopetz as EVP of Strategy.

In this new role, Kopetz will lead the continued development of strategy offerings for the agency’s clients. She will be directly responsible for providing strategic leadership to clients in all verticals, bringing particular expertise to clients in the technology sector, having spent the last five years with Intel Corporation, most recently as Senior Director, Business Marketing & Events. Previous to this role, she was the Senior Director, Global Customer Experience.

“Kim brings the ideal talent, vision, experience, and skill to lead the team in creating customer success,” said President and CEO Monte Wood. “Kim’s insight from her years on the client side of the business will prove invaluable to the evolution of the strategy team and our agency as a whole.”

While at Intel, Kopetz gained important experience building a customer-first initiative within the organization, which succeeded in enhancing the customer experience around the world, from awareness to advocacy. She also was deeply involved in the management of strategic efforts across multiple sales and operational segments, which has given her deep insight into the challenges of strategic development within the rapidly evolving technology industry.

“I am thrilled to have the opportunity to lead the Opus Strategy team,” Kopetz said. “I have a passion for building strong organizations focused on results and accountability, and am excited to jump in and lead an experienced team that will play such an important role in our clients’ success.”

Kopetz has been part of the experiential marketing industry for more than 20 years. She returns to Opus after spending five years with Intel, and previously served as EVP of Account Management for the agency. She has also previously held project management and account direction roles, and has an intimate knowledge and understanding of what it takes to not only develop an effective experiential strategy, but also to successfully implement that strategy. Kopetz has additionally enjoyed success in events-related roles at CMD Agency and Nike.

Kopetz is based in Opus’ Beaverton, Oregon headquarters, and reports directly to CEO Monte Wood.
