There are hundreds of pop up shops that appear for the holiday season that people rush to for a festive shopping experience, so why not create a pop up bar? Bartender Cody Goldstein partnered with students from Parsons the New School for Design to turn LOCL Bar (inside NYLO Hotel) into A Midwinter Night's Dream, a beautiful Shakespearean-inspired pop up bar. The festive pop up offers a numer Shakespearean themed drinks - one of which comes in a snow globe!
Mobile tours are ususally seen in the summer, but why not have one during the holiday season? For the second year, Maker’s Mark is bringing their #ShareDelicious holiday bake sale to Chicago, Cincinnati, Columbus, Louisville, New York, and Philadelphia. This mobile tour not only spreads holiday cheer, but also gives back. In exchange for a donation to Share our Strength, a charity that brings food to the hungry, people will receive a treat from Butter & Scotch bakery.
Can’t make it to New York for the pop-up bars and mobile tours? Not a problem - you can still get to experience a New York holiday staple thanks to Google. This season, they released Window Wonderland, a VR tour of the most spectacular holiday window displays at Macy’s, Lord & Taylor, Barneys New York, Bergdorf Goodman, Bloomingdales, Saks Fifth Avenue, Tiffany & Co., Henri Bendel New York, and more. The VR experience can be viewed through Google Cardboard, Google View, smartphones, tablets, or desktop.
