CASE STUDY

Hill's Pet Nutrition turned to 3D Exhibits to design, build and manage their exhibit at the largest veterinarian conference of the year, NAVC 2009. With a target audience of veterinarian and medical technology students ages 18 to 35, 3D worked with Hill's to create a program that would draw crowds and communicate messaging in a fun and engaging manner. By sponsoring the Gala Event Concert, hosting it with age-appropriate talent, and branding the event with Hill's messaging, 3D was able to create buzz for the Hill's brand and booth. At show open, messaging throughout the hall directed attendees to Hill's booth to enjoy a bit of "edu-tainment." On entering the Hill's exhibit, attendees could play an interactive video game that encouraged group participation. Once they'd signed in, they were invited to view three 5-minute video presentations at different stations throughout the exhibit. RFID locators enabled Hill's to record traffic hotspots and documented which attendees had seen the presentations, after which they were given the Veterinarian's Handbook. The 3D team also created a custom lead-gathering system to provide Hill's with specific data for post-show analysis. Kiosks featuring educational games for hourly prizes further engaged attendees and increased repeat visits. As a result, Hill's was awarded the coveted NAVC Best of Show award, and booth attendance increased by 30% from 2008.
